It could be better, but
not by much. It's 5% max damage per Clvl on a Clvl 76 char.
This was awesome for nightmare, but lacking by act 5 hell due to no
crushing blow and less than max Zeal speed.
So I think I'm giving up
on big bow damage, and just going to try and get a fast one with a lot of
crushing, since that's worked very well for my Paladin. He kills
about 3x faster with this than with the War Mattock shown above, despite
the huge damage difference, and did so even before I put in the Ruth.
Crushing and attack speed
is what it's all about if you want to do Valar on Players 4 or
higher. Note that this has a Ruth in it, which makes it something
like 45-323 to demons or undead. I'll add another Thon: 5% Crushing, as
soon as I find one. Though I wouldn't mind an Aglar (20% Crushing, #30),
not that I'll ever find one. I have 10% crushing on my gloves and
10% on my ring, and with a total of 44% crushing blow, the first 80% of a
monster's hps vanish almost like I'm using Static Field. It's the
last 5 or 10% that takes the longest time, and the merc helps a lot with
that since he's doing like 900-3400 with a very fast jab.
This is the elite
bigger damage of the 2 elite amazon bows. I'd been disappointed by
the lacking damage elite bows, (the elite LWBow in ME does less dmg than
the excep LWBow in D2X) and was waiting and waiting to find the amazon
bow, figuring it had to be the best damage, and would be worth trying to
get good stats with the 3s rare cube recipe. I'd never seen either type
of elite Amazon bow, despite having found dozens of every type of normal
elite bow, and was wondering if they even existed.
Finally at Clvl 85 my
Paladin found this from a random minion on Worldstone lvl 3. The
name thrilled me, I picked it up and saw the item graphic and my heart
leapt, and then I saw the damage, and almost cried. Even with 400%
ED this would be just 105-204. Sheesh, why bother even having the
top elite bow if it's slow and not even enough damage to be a good Excep,
much less Elite?
Nice damage. If
it had had life leech instead of mana, I probably would have socketed
an IAS rune and used it on a merc, despite the super slow speed. I'm
just considering that now. Or possibly socketing it to indes and
putting it on my Druid, though the IAS would be a pain.
Not a bad merc armor,
eh? Elite armor has a dmg reduce property by default, on the
normal, magical, and socketed types.
Amusingly huge damage
for a dagger. And the stats aren't even that great.
MF goes a bit higher on
small charms than it does in D2X.
Why yes, there are rather
nice crafted items possible.
